The group started a career in the 1930’s and by the 1940's the Andrews Sisters were phenomenally successful. They were radio personalities, appeared in 17 Hollywood films and during the mid-40's they released 8 new singles. These included 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy' and 'I'll be With You in Apple Blossom Time'. The group came to an end following LaVerne Andrews’s cancer diagnosis in 1967, and her surviving sisters Maxene and Patty decided not to continue.
