World Tour Starts

This five-girl group from the UK had worldwide success following the release of their debut single 'Wannabe' in 1996. There was no formal break up, but The Spice Girls ceased to record or perform together in 2000. A Greatest hits album was released in November 2007, and a world tour is to follow.

World Tour Starts

Hi,
I've been watching news reports of the Spice Girl's World Tour opening concert. Everyone seems to be thrilled by all the girls performances, and it hardly seems like it's been more than nine years since they last performed together. They don't even look any older! Just to correct Calculator. The new single is called 'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)' Give it time to grow on you. It's a very good song. It's more mature and shows the group have moved on from where they were nearly ten years ago. I don't know if anyone has heard of or remembers The Beverley Sisters. They're not on the forums list of 50's girl groups and they certainly should be. They were very successful in the UK throughout the 1950's and 1960's and have kept on working together since then. In fact they made the Guinness Book of records in 2002 as the longest surviving female vocal group without any change in their line-up. Could the Spice Girls stick together and end up challenging their record? I hope so and I can't wait to hear more new material.
