This duo formed in 1988. Siobhan Fahey had been a singer/songwriter with Bananarama, and formed the group with Marcella Detroit a French musician. Shakespeares Sister split in 1993, although Fahey continued to use the name as a solo artist.

Some more info: Shakespears Sister released "Stay" on 25th of January in 1992 and within two weeks it reached the top in the UK charts where remained at number one for eight weeks - the longest time at number one for any girl group.
